Menu:
Entering Data
- Look
for the icon Microsoft Excel
- Double
click on the icon
- The
Microsoft Excel application should now load up.
- On
the top you will see a row from A, B, C and so on when scrolling to the
right. The letters A,B,C etc represent columns.
- On
the left side you will see numbers from 1,2,3 and so on when scrolling down.
The numbers 1,2,3 etc represent rows.
- Place
your cursor on where columns A and row 1 intersect, and click on the
left mouse key.
- You
now highlighted the intersection of column A and row 1, which is commonly
referred to as cell A1

In cell A1, begin
by typing your name.
- And
press Enter
- The
cell A1 now has your name allocated to it
- After
you have pressed enter the cell A2 is now highlighted.
- You
can move to any cell on the spreadsheet with the arrow keys
or with the click of the mouse.
- You
can now enter data into the spreadsheet in any cell in the
form of text, that is letters, or numbers or even a combination of both. If
you make a mistake you can re enter the data into the cell.
